Question 1

What is Luanti (formerly Minetest)?

Accepted Answer

Luanti (formerly known as Minetest) is a free, open-source C++ voxel game engine available on Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, and iOS. Instead of being a single game, Luanti allows players to install complete standalone voxel games, mods, and texture packs built with its fast Lua scripting API.

Question 2

How do I install Luanti mods, games, and texture packs from Luanti Hub?

Accepted Answer

You can either download any package as a ready-to-drop .zip archive directly from Luanti Hub and extract it into your Luanti mods, games, or textures folder, or configure contentdb_url = https://luantihub.org in your Luanti client settings (luanti.conf) to browse and install packages with 1 click inside the in-game Content tab.

Question 3

How does Luanti Hub work with official Luanti ContentDB and Git repositories?

Accepted Answer

Luanti Hub synchronizes the official Luanti ContentDB catalog with automatic high-availability mirror failover and combines it with decentralized community Git repositories from GitHub, Codeberg, Mesehub, and GitLab verified with automated mod.conf and Luacheck checks.
